In all there are 22 teams competing for the title every year between August and December. The current title holders are LD Alajuelense and the teams with the most titles are LD Alajuelense, Deportivo Saprissa, Herediano, CD Olimpia. 

CONCACAF League competition format The first edition of the CONCACAF League took place in 2017 when the winner of the first cup was CD Olimpia. Teams compete in a knockout round for 5 rounds and the winner of the match advances to the next stage.
